THERMAL CALIBRATION – Tecal Series Portable Dri-Block (Dry block) Calibrators and Accessories

Techne have been manufacturing Dri-block Calibrators since 1965. Tecal Series Dri-Block (Dry block) Calibrators from Techne are a convenient, accurate and portable reference heat source used in a wide variety of industrial laboratories and factories. Tecal Calibrators enable the operator to check and re-calibrate critical thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors (RTD), liquid filled sensors and platinum resistance thermometers (PRT) wherever an accurate, calibrated reference heat source is important for industrial and laboratory processes.

Tecal Dri-Block (Dry block) Calibrators cover the temperature range ambient -45°C to +650°C. With the addition of an optional external chilling source, such as the Techne Flow Cooler and cooling probe, the Tecal 140 peltier cooled Dri-block Calibrators can achieve a minimum temperature of -40°C.

All the models are offered with RS232 communication and can be used with a wide range of inserts to suit different probe sizes. Automatic fan cooling is standard, with accelerated cooling probes also available.

The Tecal 140F is part of a new range of light-weight and portable field Dri-Block calibrators.
This model operates from 45°C below ambient (typically -20°C) up to 140°C. The unit is supplied with 5 point traceable factory calibration certificate.

The Tecal 425F operates from 5°C above ambient to 425°C and reaches maximum temperature in 12 minutes. This lightweight and easily portable unit weighs 6.3kg and has a temperature accuracy of ±0.3°C and a temperature uniformity of ±0.2°C. The unit is supplied with 5 point traceable factory calibration certificate.

The Tecal 650F covers the temperature range from ambient +25°C up to 650°C. Temperature accuracy is ±0.4°C and a uniformity within ±1°C throughout the full temperature range.

Fast heat up and cool down rates along with its light weight make it an excellent choice for portable field calibrations. The unit is supplied with 5 point traceable factory calibration certificate.

The UCal400+ provides a safe, dry and constant temperature source and can be used either on a bench top or as a portable field unit. The unit covers the temperature range from 5°C above ambient up to 430°C using a machined aluminum insert block as the heat transfer medium. 

The temperature control circuit is built into the unit. Even though the unit heats up rapidly, highly efficient insulation ensures that the case remains cool enough to handle even at maximum operating temperatures. This calibrator has been designed to comply with all relevant Radio Frequency interference and electrical safety regulations.

The Model 4500 Series Ultra-High Accuracy Thermometer takes metrology-level temperature measurement to the laboratory, the production floor and the field.

Ultra-high system accuracy is achieved because the thermometer and probe function as if they were calibrated together as a system even though they can be purchased separately. The 4500 System uses coefficients stored in each probe with the Steinhart-Hart algorithm to calculate the exact temperature reading every time you plug in a probe to take a measurement.
